A former Care Officer for Social Services, for whom I worked for 20 years. I respond readily to the needs of others and I enjoy making the residents as happy and comfortable as they can be.
When I do Activities it gives me great pleasure to see how much enjoyment this gives the residents, and this skill is what I bring to Fun4all. In recent years I have organised different events and led Church Services, Memorials and Harvest Festivals. On the lighter side I have organised Pyjama Parties and Tea Dances.
I was honoured in 2011 to be selected from all the 24 Care Homes in Wiltshire to receive the award for being the Unsung Hero for ‘going the extra mile’.
I am proud to be Scottish and I hail from the wonderful town of Lossiemouth on the gorgeous Moray Firth. Now settled in Wiltshire my interests are Poetry, Music and Dancing.
I have helped Fun4all to grow by providing a series of fun activities for the members and continually research options for group outings and visits that might be of further interest to foster the feeling of inclusion, rather than exclusion.
I was honored to become Chair in April 2018.
